Terms of Service

By accessing or using CV Optimizer (the “Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”) at cvoptmzr.com, you (“user”, “you”) agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

CV Optimizer is an AI-powered web application that:

  • Lets you upload or paste CVs and job descriptions.
  • Uses third-party AI (currently OpenAI) to produce an optimized CV, ATS scoring, keyword analysis, and bullet improvements.
  • Allows exporting the optimized CV in PDF or DOCX format (on paid tiers).
  • Stores your optimization history for authenticated users.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. Accounts are created by signing in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions, plans, and payments

Billing is processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (or its affiliates), which acts as the merchant of record for all transactions. Paddle collects applicable taxes, handles payments and refunds, and issues receipts. Charges on your statement will appear under Paddle.

We offer the following plans:

  • Free: 2 lifetime optimizations, no export.
  • Pro Weekly Pass ($8.99, one-time): unlimited optimizations (fair use) for 7 calendar days from purchase, plus PDF/DOCX export, cover letters, and history.
  • Pro Monthly ($18.99 / month, recurring): same as Weekly Pass, billed automatically each month until canceled.
  • Pro Yearly ($87.99 / year, recurring): same as Pro Monthly, billed annually until canceled.
  • Pay-as-you-go ($5 per credit, one-time): one optimization per credit; no export; credits do not expire but are non-transferable.

Recurring subscriptions auto-renew until canceled via the customer portal (accessible from your account menu) or by contacting us.

Fair use for unlimited plans is 200 optimizations per billing period. Accounts consistently exceeding fair use may be subject to rate limits or plan upgrade requests.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the CV content, job descriptions, and any other material you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process User Content solely to provide the Service — including transmitting it to third-party AI providers (OpenAI) for optimization and storing it in our database.

You represent that you have all rights needed to submit the User Content and that submitting it doesn't infringe any third-party right.

We do not sell your User Content, and we do not use it to train any AI model.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to produce a CV that contains false or misleading information.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes on any right.
  • Automate usage in a way that exceeds the fair-use limit or bypasses rate limits.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service.
  • Probe, scan, or stress-test the Service for security vulnerabilities without written permission.

6. Intellectual property

All Service code, UI, branding, and prompts are owned by us or our licensors. AI-generated output derived from your User Content is yours to use, but we make no warranty about its originality or uniqueness — AI models can and do produce similar output for similar input.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee:

  • That an optimized CV will result in a job offer, interview, or any specific outcome.
  • That AI output will be accurate, complete, or free from bias.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You are responsible for reviewing every optimization before using it in a real application.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or abuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing santichechecheck@gmail.com. Deletion of your account removes your profile, uploaded CVs, and optimization history; it does not automatically refund outstanding charges — see the Refund Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to the address on file at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of Ukraine.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights available to consumers under the law of their place of residence (including EU / UK consumer law for buyers in those regions).
