Refund Policy

Merchant of record
All purchases on CV Optimizer are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle handles collections, tax, receipts, and refund disbursements. Refund eligibility is governed by this policy together with Paddle's Buyer Terms.
1. EU / UK statutory cancellation right
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day statutory right to cancel a distance contract for digital content — except when:
- You consented to immediate delivery of the digital content, and
- You acknowledged that your right of withdrawal is lost once delivery begins.
By clicking the “Buy”, “Buy pass”, “Buy credits”, or “Subscribe” button at checkout, you expressly consent to immediate access to the paid features and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once your first optimization on a paid plan is processed, or a PAYG credit is consumed. This is standard practice for digital SaaS and is permitted under Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
2. Recurring subscriptions (Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly)
- You can cancel an active subscription at any time from Account menu → Manage billing (opens Paddle's customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep full access until then.
- We do not automatically refund the unused portion of the current period. If you were charged due to a genuine billing error, accidental renewal you did not have a chance to cancel, or a documented Service outage preventing meaningful use, email santichechecheck@gmail.com within 7 days of the charge and we will consider a prorated refund on a case-by-case basis.
- Subscriptions that have been used extensively (more than 10 optimizations in the billing period) are generally not eligible for a refund.
3. Pro Weekly Pass ($8.99)
- The Weekly Pass is a one-time, time-boxed purchase for 7 calendar days of unlimited access.
- If you bought the pass by mistake and have not performed any optimization yet, contact us within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
- Once at least one optimization has been performed, the pass is non-refundable.
4. Pay-as-you-go credits ($5 each)
- Unused PAYG credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase provided no credit has been consumed on your account since the purchase.
- Consumed credits are non-refundable. The credit balance after any refund is reduced by the refunded amount.
5. How to request a refund
Email santichechecheck@gmail.com with:
- The email address on your CV Optimizer account
- The order / transaction ID from the Paddle receipt (found in the confirmation email Paddle sent you)
- A brief description of why you're requesting a refund
We typically respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method and usually arrive within 5–10 business daysdepending on your bank.
6. Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank — we almost always prefer to resolve issues directly. Accounts that receive a chargeback without first contacting us may be suspended for the duration of the dispute.
